Beauty is not a need but an ecstacy.
아름다움은 황홀경이지요.
It is not a mouth thirsting nor an empty hand strethed forth,
그것은 마른 입술이나 구걸하러 내민 손이 아닙니다.
but rather a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted.
아름다움은 활활 타오르는 가슴의 불꽃이며 희열에 잠긴 영혼입니다.
It is not the image you would see nor the song you would hear,
아름다움은 눈으로 볼 수 있는 이미지나 귀로 들을 수 있는 노래가 아닙니다.
But rather an image you see though you close your eyes and a song you hear though you sht your ears.
그것은 차라리 눈 감아도 보이는 이미지요, 귀를 막아도 들을 수 있는 노랫가락입니다.
It is not the sap within the furrowed bark, nor a wing attached to a claw,
아름다움은 주름진 가지의 수액도, 날카로운 발톱에 붙여진 날개도 아닙니다.
But rather a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.
